KFC launched their first alcoholic product with a new rum in the UK.

The fast-food chain KFC in the UK has released a strong alcoholic beverage under its brand for the first time. In collaboration with the British brand Dead Man’s Fingers, the company created a rum called 11 Herbed and Spiced Rum. This drink combines notes of Cornish rum with KFC’s secret blend of herbs and spices. According to the Dead Man’s Fingers website, the recipe for KFC’s rum remains a secret, but the company has revealed that they carefully balanced herbs and spices, including black and white pepper, and added golden breading to give the drink unique notes.

This new product is timed to coincide with National Rum Day, celebrated on August 16th. This event serves as an important occasion for the launch of the new product in the UK market. The rum can be pre-ordered at The Drop Store and on Amazon. The price of a bottle is £25.

On September 1st and 2nd, the limited edition rum can be sampled at the pop-up restaurant Chicken and Rum Shack, which will open in Margate, UK. At this temporary venue, visitors can also enjoy KFC dishes for free, adding extra appeal to the event and attracting a wide audience.

It is interesting to note that this is not KFC’s first experience in the alcoholic beverage market. In 2019, the company in Hong Kong, in collaboration with a local brewery, released two craft beers under the name Colonel Craft Beers. However, these drinks were only available at one restaurant. In 2023, KFC also opened a temporary pub in London during the World Cup in Qatar. The pub operated for a week, from November 25th to December 1st, offering visitors a unique opportunity to pair KFC dishes with various drinks.

Thus, KFC continues to experiment with alcoholic products, expanding its boundaries and offering customers new and interesting products. The 11 Herbed and Spiced Rum is a bright example of this strategy, combining traditional KFC elements with new flavor solutions. These innovations help the company attract attention and maintain consumer interest in their brand, constantly surprising them with new offerings.
